He Cannot Be serious. Somebody Stop this man.

This man hasn’t a clue of what he is doing.  Not one?  Doesn’t he read the paper?

Previous presidential transition efforts focused on vetting would-be appointees, assembling hefty policy briefing books and making sure politically reliable operatives were assigned as liaisons to departments and agencies. That’s largely the path Democratic candidate Barack Obama has chosen, assigning dozens of advisers to working groups. The participants have strictly delineated responsibilities and must abide by specific conflict-of-interest rules.

John F. Lehman Jr. during the Sept. 11 Commission public hearings with high-ranking officials from the Clinton and Bush administrations, in 2004.

But aides say Sen. McCain’s transition team, headed by former Navy Secretary Lehman, has a different, less-structured approach. Mr. Lehman and a small group of aides are concentrating on the logistics of swiftly taking control of the U.S. national security apparatus.

If Sen. McCain wins on Tuesday, aides say his transition effort will be partly geared toward getting Congress to approve the top four dozen or so national-security appointees during the first month of a McCain administration.

Sen. McCain is reluctant to set up formal transition teams for individual departments and hasn’t asked for specific recommendations of possible appointees, according to aides. They said that at this stage, domestic agencies aren’t the top priority and the team is staying away from compiling formal lists of candidates for choice jobs. Instead, aides said, Mr. Lehman’s plan focuses on the mechanics of bringing a new administration up to speed on the most pressing intelligence questions, terrorism-related developments and broad national-security issues.

With All due respect to JJP…DO NOT LET THIS MAN DOWN.

This man’s wife passed away and he promptly went down to join the campaign as a volunteer.

Do not let his work be in vain.

*blows the dust off*

Yeah, I’ve been gone a minute.

I was breaking down my section last night and getting ready to go home when I realized that my Blog vacation coincided with my return to Okaplayer. (shout out to OKP, mind you)

That ain’t right, so I came to apologize for my absence.  (not like anyone around here misses me, ya non commenting mofos) and announce that at the midway point of semester one, I am maintaining my goal of 3.5 to 3.7.

I am going to have to finish strong though…

And I am going to have to up my blogging game, because I realize now that i NEED this in my life to maintain a sort of balance.

This video should NOT be watched with Coffee.

I cannot stop replaying this.

Masochism. That has to be it

There are 20 days left.

I have made a conscious effort to stop torturing myself.  It is plain that the dominant media is completely indifferent to covering this campaign responsibly.

More to the point, The dominant media is incapable because its concept of expert is antiquated.

I could make examples, but you’ve seen them all.

I am just sick of it.

Now..go download the Obama Mixtape from Green Lantern.

(shout out to NahRight.com)

The truth is out there.

McClatchy starts to unravel some of the foolishness from the finger pointing over the Financial Crisis

Here is the money quote:

In a speech last March, Janet Yellen, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, debunked the notion that the push for affordable housing created today’s problems.

“Most of the loans made by depository institutions examined under the CRA have not been higher-priced loans,” she said. “The CRA has increased the volume of responsible lending to low- and moderate-income households.”

In a book on the sub-prime lending collapse published in June 2007, the late Federal Reserve Governor Ed Gramlich wrote that only one-third of all CRA loans had interest rates high enough to be considered sub-prime and that to the pleasant surprise of commercial banks there were low default rates. Banks that participated in CRA lending had found, he wrote, “that this new lending is good business.”

Good luck hearing any of that on Talk Radio.

Caution: Shiny Objects ahead.

The game is winding down.

It has been a LONG time coming, and the last 4 weeks will fly by but seem like an eternity as the mud flows down thicker and stinkier than ever from the mythical moral high ground.

We..and I do mean WE…need to stick to the game plan.

and a LARGE part of the game plan is to ensure that we EXECUTE.

The PA has a post, as does BMore’s finest, TNC, about the nitty gritty of this event.

TNC’s commenter is allllllll over it.

The Times ran a story on voter caging a few weeks ago, and few people picked it up. They also brought up problems with voter registration. There is clearly one party that is getting out the vote, and another that is working on keeping it in. And when the vote is kept in, poor people and people of color are disproportionately affected.

End of the day, we can get all caught up in the mud, or we can focus on the REAL crime being attempted.

We need to let Admiral Cranky-Pants and Winky McMoosekiller do what they do.

The mainstream media will keep up with that.

WE need to focus on what REALLY matters.

Scoreboard.

The machinations are in place, yall and it won’t just be in Florida, or in Ohio this time.

And on November 5, it will be too late to complain.   We need to get on this NOW, folk.

We need to ignore their shiny objects and focus on whats REALLY going on.

And just what, do you ask, is going on???

Tens of thousands of eligible voters in at least six swing states have been removed from the rolls or have been blocked from registering in ways that appear to violate federal law, according to a review of state records and Social Security data by The New York Times.

The actions do not seem to be coordinated by one party or the other, nor do they appear to be the result of election officials intentionally breaking rules, but are apparently the result of mistakes in the handling of the registrations and voter files as the states tried to comply with a 2002 federal law, intended to overhaul the way elections are run.

Still, because Democrats have been more aggressive at registering new voters this year, according to state election officials, any heightened screening of new applications may affect their party’s supporters disproportionately. The screening or trimming of voter registration lists in the six states — Colorado, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Nevada and North Carolina — could also result in problems at the polls on Election Day: people who have been removed from the rolls are likely to show up only to be challenged by political party officials or election workers, resulting in confusion, long lines and heated tempers.

THAT is the game folk…THAT is whats REALLY going on.  Tell your folk…Get your business straight.  Have your ID…have your card…KNOW WHERE YOU ARE GOING…KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

We said never again…WE SAID THAT SHIT TWICE….

Well again is HERE…what are we going to do?

Weird Al is better than your Favorite Rapper

Full Disclosure:  I actually dig Paper Trail.  A lot.  I don’t cosign the full ideology and thought process, but artistically it is a tremendous step forward for Clifford.

That being said, “Whatever You Like” is the devil and must be punished.

But THIS RIGHT HERE???  This is GOOD ISH.

Weird Al Covers Whatever You Like

Christopher Wallace, reconsidered

So, Peter Rosenberg posted the full four hour Mister Cee 10th anniversary Biggie Smalls mix.

I have long said that Big was NOT the GOAT, and nothing that I heard in the past four hours persuaded me otherwise.

What is without question, however…is that he was the most gifted.
