On the day of his retirement, I would like to acknowledge Steve McNair for his achievements in Football by hanging his jersey in the rafters.
Let the Steve McNair for the Hall of Fame campaign start here.

I give my vote. Unfortunately, that now means that my Ravens are headed for a 2-14 season.

I debated cats on ESPN about this for about a half-hour, then I realized I was arguing with idiots. Football has no relevant numbers to speak of other than those that apply to rushing. You cannot quantify in numbers what Steve McNair did for the game of football, particularly in the NFL (he’s was a machine in college). He came from a small black school nobody ever heard of and became an MVP, giving his body to the game as if he were donating it to science. The only numbers that do McNair justice is winning seasons, he’s had plenty of those, and for those he deserves to be a Hall of Famer.
